Stephanie Constable BSN, RN, CWOCN is the sole CWOCN at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Stephanie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Carlow University in Pittsburgh PA, in 2011. Stephanie worked as a bedside nurse for 2 years before entering the Wicks Educational Associates wound care program and achieved her WOCN certification in 2014. In her current position, Stephanie provides beside assessment and care to patients suffering from wounds, is chair to the hospital’s Pressure Injury Prevention Committee, and sits on various other committees throughout the hospital such as patient safety, infection control and inter-professional users council, as well as performs root cause analysis’ and chart reviews for her legal and quality departments. Stephanie loves to share her passion for the prevention and treatment of wounds. She presented at WOCNext 2024 and EPUAP 2024 sharing her hospital's success in reducing HAPI rates. She is also part of the team working to develop the 2025 National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel Guidelines on the Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Injuries.
