Dr. Ratliff is a PhD prepared geriatric nurse practitioner who has overseen the care of individuals with lower extremity wounds in an outpatient vascular clinic. She is a section editor for the JWOCN for the Wound, Foot, and Nail section. She has spoken at many national meetings on lower extremity wounds including lipedema, lymphedema and venous ulcers She is the past chair the WOCN wound guidelines committee which generated clinical guidelines including lower extremity venous wounds. She participated in the development and update of the WOCN’s VLU algorithm. She was also one of the coeditors of the Core Curriculum Wound Management textbook and was a coauthor on the chapter on differential assessment of lower extremity wounds.
