Dr. Amy Reitmaier is a tenured Professor in the Graduate Nursing department at Winona State University, currently serving as Interim Department Chair, and Coordinator of the Wound, Ostomy, Continence, and Foot & Nail Care Nursing Education Program (WOCNEP). With a career spanning diverse healthcare environments, she brings a wealth of experience to both academic and community clinical settings. She earned her BSN in 1998, MS in nursing education in 2004, and PhD in nursing in 2010. She also holds certifications in wound, ostomy, continence and foot and nail care.
Her dedication to interprofessional education and collaborative practice is evident in her work with a non-profit agency, where she advocates for underserved populations and promotes team-based approaches to care. Through her teaching and research, Amy is committed to advancing nursing practice by addressing the needs of diverse communities and empowering her students to champion health equity.
