Join me as we begin the session with a quick review of the basic anatomy, physiology and function of the pelvic floor. We will then dive into research and practice-based treatment approaches, applications and proper implementation for efficient patient care. In this area of practice, research shows specific treatment approaches consistently rank the highest regarding successful outcomes. Although, other treatment approaches are utilized due to their ease of application and ability to bill. These treatment approaches result in a low success rate, decreasing the value of pelvic floor treatment as well as taking the specialty practice off the table.
