Manager, Wound Care

Shawna Souder is a certified wound, ostomy, continence and foot care nurse and has been caring for patients with chronic wounds and ostomies for over 15 years. She is the Manager of Wound Care for the seven UPMC Hospitals of Central Pennsylvania. She serves as a course coordinator and clinical skills instructor for the Wound Treatment Associate and Ostomy Care Associate Programs. In 2022 she received the Cameos of Caring Award in Quality and Safety from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing and in 2023 she was awarded the Northeast Region Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society Nurse of Distinction award.
