Full time CWOCN seeing acute care hospital admitted patients and providing outpatient ostomy education and care.
Relevant experience-Previous role as Clinical Educator providing Orientation and ongoing required instruction for staff, new hire RNs, and PCAs, including creation of education plans and regulatory compliance instruction; Hospital Skin team member and coordinator, WOCN Wound Treatment Associate course instructor and staff RN.
The role of long term Skin team member and Clinical Educator sparked interest in becoming a WOCN certified nurse, recognizing the need for staff education and support for Wound, Ostomy and Continence care with a specific need for Pressure Injury prevention and management.
Previously participated in multiple organization wide education projects including work in Nursing Patient Mobilization which was presented at Magnet conference.
