Jody Scardillo is a clinician, educator in wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) nursing with experience spanning academic, clinical, and professional organizational roles. She earned a DNP from Oakland University, a MS and Post-MS certificate from Sage Graduate School. She works as a WOC NP in the Department of Surgery at Albany Medical College and the graduate nursing program director at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY.
She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters on wound management, pressure injury prevention, and ostomy care. She has presented nationally & locally.
Jody has served as Director, Secretary, Web Editor for the Journal of WOCN, and host for the award-winning podcast WOC talk. She has participated in guideline development, consensus panels, and educational task forces, as well as mentorship of emerging WOC nurse
