Barbara started her career as a nursing assistant in long term care in 1985. She has worked in a variety of settings from acute care to psychiatric prisons but found her niche in home health after obtaining her RN in 2000. She obtained her WOC nurse certification from Emory University in 2003. In her current role she does patient evaluations and maintains all medical supplies for her home health, hospice, and private duty locations.
Jan Colwell is the advanced practice nurse in ostomy and wound care at the University of Chicago Medicine where she provides care to ostomy patients in the outpatient stoma clinic. She has practiced for numerous years at the University of Chicago where she has precepted graduate and WOC nurse students as well has developed the ostomy program at UCM. She is a past president of the WOCN and FOW-USA, the ostomy section co editor of the JWOCN and co editor of the WOCN Ostomy Curriculum Text Books. She has multiple publications, presentations and research projects to her credit..
Dr. Mukesh Dwivedi is currently working as a Research Associate in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at King George's Medical University, India. He has completed his Ph.D. in the area of wound healing.
