Well, if you had told any of us five years ago that we would be selling ostomy appliances, none of us would've believed you. But then life presented some challenging scenarios and it seemed to us that things could be better. It started slowly, with one nurse recognizing the problem and wondering why so many patients were suffering with poorly fitting ostomies. Through fate or good luck, she connected with three surgeons who were similarly frustrated with the available options for their patients in need. And just like that, a team was born. We are a nurse, three surgeons, an MIT grad, and an engineer, united to create products for the patients who need them most. We've worked together to bring a novel ostomy appliance to the market, designed to work around difficult anatomic challenges.
