When applied, this stabilizing device covers the wound dressing and holds the margins of the wound stable and/or in compression as desired. DermaHug reduces the risk of dehiscence by eliminating lateral tension on the incision and supports the incision or wound by stabilizing the peri wound tissue.
A DermaHug device can be worn continuously for 2 weeks or more. They are hydrophobic and may be worn in the bath or shower; can be adjusted, removed and reapplied. If soiled, it may be removed; hand-washed with mild soap and water, rinsed with water, patted dry or allowed to air dry, then reapplied.
It can be trimmed to fit creative applications. All you need is a sharp scissors!
