Denise Hibbert has over 35 years of nursing experience, she is originally from the United Kingdom, but has spent over 30 years in Saudi Arabia. Denise has been employed within the specialties of WOC Nursing for more than 20 years and has spent 13 years as Colorectal APN and Clinical Director in a large tertiary referral center, her most recent clinical focus being bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction and anorectal physiology. She was founder and Director of the Saudi Enterostomal Therapy Diploma Education Program, Senior Lecturer at Al Faisal University and a Clinical Supervisor for the Saudi Colorectal Surgical Fellowship. Denise is presently Senior Advisor to the Director General of Health Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. She is the incoming World Council of Enterostomal Therapist® President Elect 2022-2024, a past Education Committee Chairperson and a Norma N Gill Foundation® Committee Member. She sits on the Editorial Board of the Annals of Saudi Medicine, the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists Journal and the World Journal of Colorectal Surgery. She is a member of the Saudi APN Focus Group and a past member of the International Council of Nurses APN Education Task Force. She has over 17 publications including a book chapter and was involved in the publication of the National Guideline Development Group for Saudi Colorectal Cancer Screening.
