Profile
Dr. Phyllis Bonham’s professional experiences include 56 years in nursing and 48 years in WOC nursing in varied roles and settings. Directed MUSC's, WOCN Society-Accredited Wound Care Education Program for 17 years. Is a nationally known speaker; has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals; authored a textbook chapter on lower-extremity arterial disease (LEAD). Conducted/published research in LE noninvasive vascular assessment. Is a Past President of the WOCN Society. Has served on the WOCN Wound Guidelines Task Force since 1998, and chaired the Task Force since 2014. Other WOCN Society service includes: past Clinical Editor of the Society; past member of the Wound Treatment Associate (WTA) Committee; co-instructor of the online WTA Educational Program; and current co-editor of the wound section for JWOCN.
