Profile

Alyson Keen is a Program Manager for Evidence-based Practice and Research at Indiana University Health Adult Academic Health Center, where she leads translation of evidence and generation of new knowledge to improve patient outcomes. Alyson is a Clinical Nurse Specialist by background and has been a nurse for ten years at IU Health. Alyson has been involved in several research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement projects in the realm of refusal of nursing care, pain, fall prevention, and substance use disorder. She has also served as a research assistant at Indiana University School of Nursing. Alyson is currently a PhD candidate at Indiana University School of Nursing, where she is focused on patient activation in persons with substance use disorder. Additional research interests include patient co-production and symptom management.
