Description
The rate of obesity across all healthcare settings is increasing. This rapidly evolving demographic affects the ability of the WOC professional to provide safe, consistent, size-appropriate care. This course reviews the pathophyiology of obesity as is relates to WOC practice, resources across the continuum and organizational innovations such as telehealth care, handling equipment and the latest innovations associated with assessment and treatment. Findings from a recently completed bariatric gap analysis will be presented along with solutions to these gaps.
