Welcome to Emory University WOCNEC
The Emory University Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Center (WOCNEC) provides both accredited post-baccalaureate programs and continuing education programs.
Accredited by the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses SocietyTM (WOCN®) since 1976, the WOC Nursing Education Program prepares the graduate nurse to provide specialty care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, standard and continent ostomy diversions, and fecal and urinary incontinence. All courses are provided by the Emory Nursing Professional Development Center (ENPDC), an accredited provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. The Traditional Pathway is a blended education program comprised of online clinical courses, onsite skills training (Bridge Week), a comprehensive final exam, clinical with an approved preceptor, and completion of the professional practice course. All courses are online, asynchronous, and self-paced. The courses include learning objectives, required readings, video lectures, podcasts, learning activities, quizzes, and exams.
